What types of Sri Lanka holiday packages are available?
Srilon offers a wide range of Sri Lanka holiday packages to suit every travel style and budget. Choose from beach holiday packages along the south and east coast, cultural tour packages through the ancient cities, safari and beach holidays combining Yala National Park with coastal stays, and Sri Lanka .
We have options for 5-day, 7-day, and 10-day itineraries, as well as all-inclusive holiday packages and luxury 5-star holidays — all with flights and accommodation included.
When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka?
Sri Lanka has great weather year-round depending on which region you visit.
December to March is the best time for the west and south coast — including Mirissa, Galle, Bentota, and Yala safaris.
May to September is peak season for the east coast, especially Trincomalee and Pasikuda, with calm turquoise waters ideal for beach holidays.
The hill country around Ella and Nuwara Eliya is enjoyable year-round, as is the Cultural Triangle. April and October are pleasant shoulder months across most of the island.
Do I need a visa to visit Sri Lanka?
Most nationalities require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka, which is applied for online via the Department of Immigration and Emigration portal.
The ETA typically costs around USD 50, is approved within 24 hours, and permits a stay of up to 30 days — extendable in-country if needed. Some passport holders may be eligible for visa-on-arrival or visa-free entry.
When you book a holiday package with Srilon, our team will advise you on the exact requirements for your nationality.
Do you offer packages for families and solo travellers?
Absolutely. Srilon caters to all types of travellers. Our family holiday packages include child-friendly resorts, private transfers, and itineraries designed for families of 4 — covering safari lodges, beach stays, and cultural highlights.
For those travelling alone, our holidays for solo travellers offer flexible single-room options, private driver-guides, and curated solo beach holidays across Mirissa, Bentota, and Trincomalee. Solo female travellers will find Sri Lanka safe and welcoming across all major tourism circuits.
What wildlife and safari experiences can I expect in Sri Lanka?
Sri Lanka is one of Asia’s finest wildlife destinations. Yala National Park has one of the highest leopard densities in the world, alongside elephants, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species.
Our safari and beach holiday packages pair a Yala game drive with a south coast beach stay for a complete experience.
We also offer elephant safari holidays at Minneriya and Udawalawe, and whale watching off Mirissa between November and April. Wildlife experiences can be added to any package or booked as day trips from Sri Lanka.
Is Sri Lanka safe to visit, and what should I know before I go?
Sri Lanka consistently ranks among South Asia’s safest travel destinations, with low crime rates and a well-established tourism infrastructure.
It is safe for families, solo travellers, and couples. Tipping is customary (around 10% at restaurants, small gratuities for guides and drivers).
Dress modestly when visiting temples and sacred sites. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before departure to cover medical, cancellation, and baggage eventualities.
How many days do I need for a good Sri Lanka holiday?
The right duration depends on how much of the island you want to explore.
5 days is enough to cover the Cultural Triangle and Kandy with one night in the hill country.
7 nights opens up the full circuit — Cultural Triangle, hill country, and a beach stay on the south coast.
10 nights or more allows you to add the east coast, a Yala safari, and more relaxed beach time at resorts in Mirissa or Bentota.
We offer 3-day, 5-day, 7-day, and 10-day holiday packages — all customisable to your pace and interests.
Are there all-inclusive holiday packages available in Sri Lanka?
Yes. Srilon offers all-inclusive Sri Lanka holiday packages that cover accommodation, all meals, private transfers, guided tours, and entrance fees — so you can travel without worrying about daily costs.
We have options across budget, mid-range, and 5-star all-inclusive tiers, including luxury beach resort packages and all-inclusive family holidays. We also offer holiday packages with installments, allowing you to secure your booking and spread the cost over time before your departure.

Good location for everyone! Just a heads-up on the transport: buses and large vans cannot travel down this road due to its size/condition. However, there is a three-wheel (tuk-tuk) park available right nearby, which you can hire (paid) to get to the location easily.
